Petition: Say No to Contracting Out in Health Care!

As many members are aware, the Saskatchewan Health Authority has undertaken a review of security services using an external consultant. Many believe, with good reason, that his review will lead to recommendations to cut back unionized in-house security positions and contract out security work to a low-paying private firm. This will not improve safety in health care facilities.

Across health care, workers in all job classifications are concerned that this security review is “the thin edge of the wedge,” opening the way to more privatization and contracting out across departments.

Please consider signing this petition and passing it on to coworkers, friends, and family to show Saskatchewan’s Ministers of Health and the Saskatchewan Health Authority that you oppose contracting out in health care!

The petition can also be shared on Facebook here
