Dear valued member:
Your CUPE bargaining committee met with SAHO for three days this week. We tabled a comprehensive proposal document to further our attempts to conclude bargaining non-monetary items and move towards talking about money. SAHO is considering our proposal and has committed to getting back to us in mid-April.
We know the pace of bargaining remains frustrating. Health care workers deserve a fair wage increase, and we are committed to keeping up the fight. Our next bargaining dates with SAHO are April 29, 30, and May 1.
We want to thank the hundreds of CUPE members who have already sent letters to the government demanding fair wages. Your voices matter! If you haven’t sent yours yet, take a moment to do so here: https://cupe.ca/health-care-workers-deserve-raise
We’re also gearing up for a rally on April 23 in Regina to show our collective strength and push for real wage increases. Join us at 12 p.m. at the Saskatchewan Legislature. Stay tuned for more details.
We want to acknowledge the tremendous turnout at our bargaining townhall on March 11, and we want to ensure members we are still following up with your questions and concerns.
Your solidarity is making a difference—let’s keep the pressure on! 💪 #FairDealForHealthCare #CUPEStrong
In solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee: Bashir Jalloh (President), Linda Renkas (Vice-President), Nancy Black (Recording Secretary), Rhonda Osipoff (Treasurer), Linda Vancuren (R1), Sharon Paul (R2), Helen Head (R3), Arlene Picard (R4), Corinne Sopel (R5), Janice Janzen (staff), Justin Mercier (staff), Craig Thebaud (staff)
