Bargaining Updates 2024

Bargaining Update - #16

CUPE 5430 Bargaining Communique Issue #16

Dear valued member:

Your bargaining committee met with the employer on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week.

We continue to focus on moving things forward while addressing key concerns, but the employer continues to focus on proposals that are not top priority for our members. As a result of this, we have been unable to discuss wages, premiums, or benefits – which are the top issues facing our members.

It is imperative that we keep up the pressure and increase our member mobilization efforts. We strongly urge all members to join us this Saturday, May 4 in Saskatoon for the All in for Public Health Care rally.  To find more information and to RSVP, click the link below:

Our next bargaining dates are June 4, 5, and 6. Please continue to wear your T-shirts in the workplace and send us your photos. Our bargaining committee is only as strong as the members standing with us.

In solidarity,

Your Bargaining Committee:

Bashir Jalloh (President), Linda Renkas (Vice-President), Nancy Black (Recording Secretary), Rhonda Osipoff (Treasurer), Linda Vancuren (R1), Sharon Paul (R2), Janell Hubbard (R3), Adrienne Gardiner (R4), Corinne Sopel (R5), Justin Mercier (staff), Craig Thebaud (staff), Janice Janzen (staff)
