Bargaining with SAHO took place Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Discussions between the parties were more productive and more engaging than in the previous months of bargaining, which was a positive change.
We continued to advocate on the issues of overtime, variable hours, and standby. Working short is one of our biggest concerns. We focussed on improving terms and conditions of employment to address recruitment and retention concerns.
We know our members have many questions about bargaining. We are having two virtual bargaining information meetings this month. Please join us on February 15 at 7 p.m. or February 16 at 11 a.m. Information on how to join will be shared widely closer to the meeting, but make sure to save the date! We will answer questions received through our outreach and our social media and give a brief bargaining update.
We are also going to be in all the regions in the coming weeks. Please watch for more information and join us if you can.
In solidarity,
