CUPE 5430 announces market supplement for Medical Radiation Technologists

After months of work through the market supplement process, CUPE 5430 is pleased to share that after a review by the market supplement committee, a market supplement will be implemented for our Medical Radiation Technologist and Medical Radiation Technologist – Specialty employees.

This recommendation was reviewed by SAHO, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, and CUPE 5430, and the parties have signed a memorandum of understanding agreeing to a market supplement being implemented.

The market supplement rates of pay will be increased as follows based on 2022 rates of pay:

  • Medical Radiation Technologist employees will receive a market supplement of 4.0% applied to the base rate, and the existing market adjustment value will be added on top.
  • Medical Radiation Technologist – Specialty employees will receive a market supplement of 4.5%.

These changes are retroactive to the Market Supplement Review Committee Report date of May 14, 2023, and any active employee who worked in these classifications since the date of this agreement is eligible for retroactive pay.

If there are any questions, feel free to contact your regional office.
